The theme for IEEE Day is “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.”
Every year, on the first Tuesday of October, members and friends of the Vancouver Section gather to celebrate the founding of the IEEE and everything it represents. IEEE Day provides an opportunity to reflect on the contributions of past volunteers and look ahead to the future of the IEEE. It marks the first time in history when engineers worldwide gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884.
IEEE Day is not only celebrated by the Vancouver Section but is a global event.
