Dr. Dennis Michaelson will explore the application of Small Modular Reacrors (SMRs) in remote community power systems and off-grid industrial facilities. In some of these applications, a small SMR or micro-modular reactor would be combined with renewable power sources, energy storage, and loads to form a microgrid.
